Let's help others x
Β
I think it important for us all to take a step back from our busy lives and think how we can help others'
On my resent trip to Fiji, I was very lucky to go & meet the beautiful community in two villages central Fiji.
Fijians are always so happy and smiley. That's their culture. It doesn't matter how much or how little they have, they always give off such a warm & welcoming presence.
To see the kids faces when we arrived was priceless!
I played soccer with them for an hour. I honestly think I broke my toe by stubbing it on a rock in the grass (haha well worth it to get to hang out with the little legend kiddies! )
It's amazing how one ball can give so much enjoyment to so many little faces. Giving them the chance to play a game brought the community together in a matter of minutes. No phones no iPads , or technology. It took one ball to make everyones day!
Western culture & big cities like Melbourne tend to have a bad habit of taking what we have for granted. Whether it's a conscious or subconscious thing ... I am sure we are all guilty of it at some point.
We need to start thinking of others more and give back !! We can do this so simply by donating to a charity. Easy and so effective.
Even if you cannot afford to donate, if you are lucky enough to visit places like Fiji you can simply take the time to visit a village, say hello and bring a some gift ... old clothes of yours, balls, cards, colouring in pencils and books... anything!!
The kids who are lesser off that most of us, are always so happy to see and meet new faces! It really does lighten up there day!
It was amazing to see how simply they live... it was such an eye opener...and something I hope everyone has the chance to do at some point. If so, hopefully when you return home you'll have a greater respect for what you have and realise how lucky you really are!!!
Let's give a helping hand to others that need our time and help!! Enjoy the pics!
