My feet are officially UP! Conserve sneakers and trackies for the next few days!! What a week!! The Melbourne Spring Carnival was SO GOOD!!!! So much fun every single day! Couldn't believe how many people were there... all in stunning dresses and beautiful headpieces! Everyone scrubbed up so well.
It was absolutely AMAZING to be the Ambassador for this years carnival. Such a privilege, a pleasure & an experience I will never forget!

Melbourne Cup Day ...
How cool to have a public holiday on a weekday! Such a good excuse to get all dressed up! I LOVED my colourful dress this day, it was by the designer ByJohnny! Such a comfy dress to be wearing for the day... The rest of the outfit was made perfect by a cute little Louis Vuitton clutch, Tony Bianco shoes, Samantha Wills jewels & a headpiece by De Millinery. My hair was whipped into shape by the legend Joey Scandizzo, make up by Monica Gingold & the outfit was styled by Lana Wilkinson. DREAM team! It was awesome to be featured as a best dressed in the Sydney Herald Sun !! So a HUGE shout out to my team... they all deserve a medal for creating such a special outfit !!!! Such a talented bunch. It was pretty cool to meet and hang with Alex Perry on the day too... when you think about it, where would we all be without the designers!
Everyone was looking incredible on cup day (especially my partner in crime for the day Georgia Amad who is the design of @lindencook jewellery) and the Melbourne weather turned it on! So so many colours and SO much sunshine!! Jen Hawkins was favourite of mine in wicked fluro gown. LOVED it! And Scherri Lee Biggs wore a stand out hot pink number! The whole day looked like a giant rainbow! Other beauties there on the day included Megan Gale , Brooke Hogan, Bec Judd, Michaela Wain & Nadia Bartel .. of course looking like their usual superstars selves :)
Crown Oaks Day ...
Oaks Day I went a tad girlier as its know as "ladies day"! was so lucky to have a custom made lace number for the day! The designer was KYHA.. (follow her @k.h.y.a) ...she's the founder and designer of One Day Bridal. It was an absolutely amazing dress ... & I am already thinking of when I can wear it again!!!! The rest of the outfit was created with a gold headpiece by Viktoria Novak, jewels by Ford and Harris, a bag was Ferragamo & shoes by Tony Bianco. A mix of the best!
Oaks Day was pretty awesome! I was with my best bud Brooke Meredith (@brookiechook)...for the day which always makes the day more fun. The two of us met Brody Jenner from The Hills which was pretty crazy...!!! We ran into many Aussie bombshells including Bec Judd, Jessie Habermann & Jodi Gordan who were all looking ultra glam as per usual. Apart from the celebs, I met so many other people on the day who took the time to have a chat with me. Being at these big events can be quite overwhelming! So many introductions & photos. To be honest the best part of the carnival was being able to celebrate with the real hero of the day ...the horses!
I know its fun to dress up & drink champagne with your pals BUT we should all be weary of the fact that the horses are living creatures just like you & I. I met some of the jockeys over the week & it is clear that they all love & adore their animals and treat them like gold. SO make sure you all do the same. The carnival would not exist without them. So if you are a punter & you like to bet on horses, dogs...whatever... maybe think about donating some of your winnings to animal shelters or the RSPCA.
A HUGE congrats to the LEGEND Michelle Payne for being the FIRST WOMEN to win he big race on Melbourne Cup Day. What a moment for her & of course her horse Prince of Penzance. @mj_payne ... if you want to follow this rockstar on Twitter!
