Summer Essentials with Proud & Punch

Summer is cominggggg, and like so many others, I am getting excited. Bring back those warm nights, red sunsets and fresh morning swims. Bring back the joy of being barefoot ... and needing nothing more than sunscreen and a hat when you leave the house. Bring back the salty water, the warm sand and lush green grass. Bring back ice cold treats in the form of outrageously yummy pops! Summer really shines light on the goodness of Proud & Punch treats! The perfect snack when the sun has some bite. Simple, slow, summer days at the beach with Josh, Sunny and the dogs are what I love the most.

People often ask me what my top 'summer essentials' are, so I thought this might be a great forum to share. Thinking about it, I'd say there are two versions of my perfect summer day.

The first is a hot day where the beach is on the cards. In my bag, the essentials are always the same. A towel, a hat, sunnies, sunscreen and of course a P&P pop in a little freezer bag. It's all about sun protection for me, especially as the Aussie UV is so high! If I am well protected and kept cool with my P&P pop, I am one happy gal.

The second version of my perfect summer day comes as the sun sinks back into the sky. Sunset. With my boys and the dogs, we love to get out of the house and into the fresh air where we can watch the day close as a family. No phones, warm jumpers if the breeze is chilly, a blanket we can all plonk on top of and of course a P&P pop to make the night a little sweeter. Just writing about these precious moments gets me excited.

It's been yet another challenging year for so many. While there is so much going on that is out of our control, finding happiness in the little moments of the day is my aim. The warmth of the sun, swimming in the ocean, cuddling up to my family, eating delicious foods! Life is too short to not let yourself indulge, and with every year I am learning this more and more.
