Elyse Knowles has thrown a down-to-earth baby shower at her home in Byron Bay for her unborn bubby who she has given the affectionate moniker “Muffin.”
The shower was a family filled celebration with both Elyse and her husband Josh Barker’s parents in attendance.
In an Instagram post to commemorate the milestone, the pregnant former Block star gushed, “Muffin is very spoilt to have all the love in the world! What a weekend with family and friends! So very grateful!!”
The wholesome post had a little sprinkle of humor with a not-so-subtle flower placement over one confident pooch.The party had an earthy-toned bohemian aesthetic and sunflowers to add some greenery to the monochromatic colour palate.
Guests were provided healthy food platters and were sat around a wooden table to eat on rustic rugs.
Mum-to-be Elyse looked gorgeous and glowing in a burnt orange dress with side cutouts, and she styled her long golden hair naturally.It was only last week when former The Block couple announced their chilled engagement with a surprise Instagram post.
The exciting news was unexpected as earlier in the month Elyse told Stellar magazine she was not interested in marriage right now.
"I'm not really fussed about [a wedding]. The baby is the biggest commitment we need," she told the publication.
"We don't even think about that anymore. I'm not worried about it. I would rather put that money into family and our life all together. We know we love each other."
Elyse and Josh, who have been together for eight years, starred on season 13 of hit renovation reality show The Block and made headlines when they sold their property for $3.067 million to none other than comedian Dave Hughes.
Since their success on the show, the couple have started a building and design business called J&E Projects based in Byron Bay.
Elyse has also modelled for Iconic Australian brands like Seafolly and became a Myer ambassador after finding fame on The Block.
