Fit for a Kid!

Fun week at The Block site this week... kids kids kids! Josh & I really up'd the anti this week by adding another floor in our room! The mezzanine! House 5 (our place) has the only roof structure capable of doing raked ceilings like this, so why not capitalise on it & create a real point of difference!

The mezzanine was a really effective way to create more space for a child. Having the two levels gives them the space to sleep, play & study as they get a little older. From a design point of view, it's a real statement element as it accentuates the height of the room. It's not too overpowering either - the whole thing blends beautifully. Plus what kid wouldn't want this growing up... I'd love it now!!
