Safe Splashing for my Family & I
During my pregnancy & since having Sunny, I’ve become more aware of what I’m using on my skin, my hair & the types of personal products we keep in the household. Sustainable and eco-conscious products are high on my list, as well as products that are created by people who holistically understand the value of plant based ingredients that are free from the long list of nasty chemicals which risk both people’s health & the state of our natural environment.
I’m very proud to come on board as the face of KLORANE (@kloraneau), a company with an international foundation (Klorane Botanical Foundation), which has three incredible missions at the forefront of their efforts;
To protect endangered plant species
To explore botanical marvels in order to better understand and protect them; and
To share botanical passion with as many people as possible, particularly children.
The latter part of the 3rd mission listed above, was a huge driver behind our meaningful partnership. With Sunny now in our lives, his health & safety is paramount. Working with a team of experts who dive deep into research & exploration to formulate products that are safe and made with a conscious head & heart, feels right.
The KLORANE products are free from harmful SLS (sodium laureth sulfate which is an ingredient capable of stripping your skin of natural oils & causing skin irritations such as eczema and dermatitis to flare up), parabens (preservatives used to elongate the shelf life of products but are also widely linked to endocrine disruption), and those ingredients derived from animal origins. These factors mean I can enjoy bath time with little Sunny knowing I’m using biodegradable formulas which are rich in nutrients & free of soap (meaning no tears if it splashes in his eyes!).
While Sunny is going to love KLORANE, as a new, working Mum I cannot wait to indulge in their Dry Shampoo! Washing my hair and popping lovely treatments in might have to be something left for weekends … as time is not something I’ll have much of for the next little while! The good news? By replacing just one wet hair wash with an application of Klorane Dry Shampoo per week, you can help save up to 500 litres of water per year! That is HUGE! So if saving water & natural ingredients such as oat milk, aquatic mint, mango butter, peony and chamomile excite you, I urge you all to check out KLORANE hair care.
Since their earliest days, KLORANE has prioritised organic farming, while cultivating plants all over the world in compliance with a certified eco-responsible approach to ensure the sustainable preservation of botanical heritage and biodiversity. Only in the last couple of years have I really seen the shift towards amazing efforts such as these from other brands - so the fact KLORANE has been ahead of the game for so long is inspiring.
I’ve worked with sustainable companies in the past within the beauty space & I’ve been so impressed by what I have learnt to date. My new relationship with KLORANE and their wonderful range is something I’ll be sinking my teeth into. Raising awareness for products that have a positive impact on our health & environment is a huge passion of mine. We can all make the most simple changes to the way we shop & consume from day-to-day to change the personal impact we have on the world we share. It can be as easy as switching to a brand or product that stands for what you believe in & seeks to help others.
The “Soul of Botany”, KLORANE is a really exciting new chapter for me in 2021. Thank you to their team for warmly welcoming me.
