Here's To The Women We Know & Love

In honour of International Women's Day, this year I'd love to acknowledge how special, wonderful, strong and wildy capable women are in their most natural form. This is the first year I am celebrating IWD as a mum, and the feeling inside my heart is one I can't quite explain. It doesn't feel enough to say that I am grateful or overjoyed or happy ... I am all of those things and so, so much more.

I know that the journey to becoming a mum is very hard & exceptionally emotional for so many, too many. I want to use this special day to reach out to the women who are on the road to becoming a mother, yet facing difficulties outside of their control, & share my love and thoughts. I think you're spectacular and I truly hope your dreams come true very soon.

To the women in my life who constantly support me - thank you.

To the women in my life I trust, admire and respect - I appreciate you.

To my own mum, thank you for giving me life & such a happy one at that. I feel very grateful to now be a mother myself and promise to share my heart with my son, the way you shared yours with me.

To every girl and woman who is facing a challenge, celebrating a big moment, striving high to reach a goal or simply finding herself and realising who she truly is ... I think you are simply amazing. Never change yourself for anyone else. The way you are is perfect.

Happy International Women's Day! Remember to spread the love today and reach out to those you cherish. The bond women share in our friendships is a luxury in life and one we shall always protect.

And to my darling boy Sunny - thank you for choosing me to be your mum. A role I will honour and protect with every inch of my life.
