A Myer Moment ...

Preparing this particular blog was tougher than usual because I was literally overflowing in words & emotions. You know those moments when you feel like a kid at Christmas? You don't know whether you should laugh or cry, sit or stand or run around like a crazy kid! That's me at the moment, smiling from ear to ear & jumping out of my skin!

Today I have the very special privilege of announcing my official role as a Myer Ambassador, (pausing to PINCH myself!). I'm so excited to be furthering my relationship with the Myer family while working alongside the Face of Myer, Jennifer Hawkins and the other incredible Myer Ambassadors Rachael Finch, Kris Smith & the newly announced Josh Gibson.

Just knowing that my name is surrounded by names like those is a feeling I can't quite explain... I'm wracking my brain for the word but for the first time in a long time, I seem to be speechless (... and we all know how rare that is!).

I'm truely honoured that Myer have extended this invitation, as it's an opportunity I've worked towards since my very first Myer booking when I was 16 years old (see the old Myer brochure image on your right). An entire decade ago!! Hard work will get you to where you want to be - trust me on this.

In the last 6 months especially, my love & respect for the iconic brand has grown & grown! Working across their advertising campaigns, racing events & a series of in-store beauty activations has allowed me to witness the magic that goes on behind-the-scenes of everything they put their name too. The next few chapters for Myer are going to be epic & I am over the moon to be going along for the ride.

A whole lot of beautiful fashion is about to land in-store. I recently travelled up to Cairns to shoot the Spring 2018 Campaign alongside Josh Gibson. It took the two of us about 2 seconds to become mates. When we found out we both have Weimaraner dogs at home - the friendship was locked in!

This shoot was pretty special. Picture beautiful Australian scenery with summery, rich colours & stunning pieces by designer favourites including Sass & Bide, We Are Kindred, Stevie May, Mossman, Elliatt, Tululah and Levi’s. Shots below and more to come in the coming week or so.

To allow you all to see the range in real life, the Myer runways are coming! I had my first taste of walking the Myer runway during VAMFF earlier this year. I kid you not, the buzz of those shows lasted for weeks! I'll have to think about ways to calm my excitement levels pretty soon because the runway fun is about to kick start again!

My first official appearance in my role as an ambassador will be on the runway at the Myer Spring Summer 2018 Runway Nation in-store parades. The shows will start off in Sydney on the Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th of August and then continue to travel around the states (see below for dates & key info). Let me assure you - you don't want to mis these shows. If you're lucky, you might even see your favourite Myer ambassador strutting their stuff in your home town.
