Karen Walker has collaborated with Madewell on a 23 piece collection, set to be made available from August 15, which reimagines the label’s archival ready-to-wear staples and their iconic frames. Drawing both utilitarian and feminine elements together in an effort to revive key Karen Walker looks that date back almost 20 years, Madewell was given “free rein on our archives and they pulled out many of the garments that we consider to be the best-known and best loved,” said the designer. Online luxury retailer Matchesfashion.com has announced the launch of an exclusive collection of vacation wear for children in collaboration with Australian designer Pippa Holt. The announcement was accompanied by a mother and daughter campaign shot by portrait photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank in The Hamptons, that featured the women in the sought-after kaftans that Holt has become famous for, along with their children dressed in the new collection. Inspired by her daughter, Holt added, “Having collaborated with artisans in Mexico, together we have created eight styles based on ‘classics’ in the collection.
